COVID-19 Safety and Policies
In response to COVID-19, SHUR has enacted these safety measures:
We provide all volunteers with N-95 masks and gloves, but request you bring your own when possible.
All volunteer sites have access to hand sanitizing or hand washing stations.
Volunteer work stations are separated by at least 6 feet apart and support social distancing, where possible.
We work to minimize the size of the volunteer crew in the home to reduce exposure.
We insist that you DO NOT volunteer if you are experiencing any of these symptoms:
Fever or chills
Cough
Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
Fatigue
Muscle or body aches
Headache
New loss of taste or smell
Sore throat
Congestion or runny nose
Nausea or vomiting
Diarrhea

We will not work in the homes of clients who do not meet the same criteria as listed above.
We follow protocols to limit volunteer contact with clients who are in high risk categories.
