COVID-19 Safety and Policies

In response to COVID-19, SHUR has enacted these safety measures:

  • We provide all volunteers with N-95 masks and gloves, but request you bring your own when possible.

  • All volunteer sites have access to hand sanitizing or hand washing stations.

  • Volunteer work stations are separated by at least 6 feet apart and support social distancing, where possible.

  • We work to minimize the size of the volunteer crew in the home to reduce exposure.

  • We insist that you DO NOT volunteer if you are experiencing any of these symptoms:

    • Fever or chills

    • Cough

    • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing

    • Fatigue

    • Muscle or body aches

    • Headache

    • New loss of taste or smell

    • Sore throat

    • Congestion or runny nose

    • Nausea or vomiting

    • Diarrhea
